Georgia, who appeared in an episode as the Time Lord’s onscreen daughter Jenny, has been spotted with the 37-year-old actor at his house in North London and at her flat in Twickenham.

A friend of the actress has confirmed that Georgia, who has a six-year-old son, has been out on a series of dates with David, and that the pair have been meeting at each other’s homes in order to avoid being spotted by fans of the show.

“It started with some friendly dinner dates but it has progressed quickly and they are now in a serious relationship,” the friend revealed.

“Even with his busy schedule David is making a lot of time to spend with her, so he must really like her.”

Catwalk Queen Naomi Campbell and Hollywood husband and wife team Eva Longoria and basketball player Tony Parker were all on the receiving end of a Posh hug at the New York event.

Presenting the designer of the year award to Calvin Klein designer Francisco Costa wasn’t the only reason behind Victoria’s high spirits. The former singer – who announced at the end of the Spice Girls tour she was quitting the music business to concentrate on fashion – arrived on the arm of Marc Jacobs.

“She has an amazing sense of humour about herself,” says the New York style icon. “She agreed to do something rough and tough and quite raw.”

It’s not everyday that Janet Jackson drops by to make someone’s dream come true. But on The View Tuesday, the pop star did just that. Specifically, Jackson gave co-host Sherri Shepherd a pair of tickets for her fall concert – so that Shepherd wouldn’t have to sleep in the street to get some. When Jackson – clad in white –dropped by, a visibly ecstatic Shepherd jumped from her seat to embrace her pop idol. “I’m such a fan of yours,” she enthused while the crowd cheered. “I have every album; I have every poster; I have all of your program books. Aside from Michael, you are my second favorite, girl.”
