Paris Hilton Making Music with Benji Madden

It’s good to have a musical boyfriend.

Benji Madden has already recorded a song about Paris Hilton, and now the Good Charlotte guitarist is helping her with her own music.

Hilton, 27, told E! News that she and Madden, 29, are hard at work on the theme song to her upcoming MTV reality show My New BFF.

“Benji and I have been working hard on it,” she said. “He’s helping me write the lyrics for the song and then I’ll sing it, too.”

The couple, who’ve been dating for four months, are laying down the track at a studio located, conveniently enough, in her Beverly Hills mansion.

Premiering later this year, My New BFF will follow the former Simple Life star as she chooses a new shopping buddy from 20 contestants.

Hilton also plans to start working on the follow-up to her 2006 debut CD Paris. “I’ll have another album come out, for sure,” she told E! News. “I just don’t know when yet. I only have the summer off, then I’ll be taping another season of BFF. But an album is something I’ll do.”

Amy Winehouse Performs for Nelson Mandela Tribute

Amy Winehouse was back on stage in London Friday when she performed rousing renditions of two of her hits at a special concert as part of Nelson Mandela’s 90th birthday tribute.

Wearing a fitted monochrome dress, the Back to Black singer, 24, sang “Rehab” and her massive hit “Valerie” for the crowd, who welcomed her with loud cheers.

Despite her recent hospitalization, Winehouse looked healthy. She wore her trademark beehive loose at the back. Decorating her hair was a heart-shaped adornment inscribed with “Blake” for her husband, Blake Fielder-Civil.

With Mandela watching in the wings, Winehouse danced while performing “Valerie” and revealed glimpses of her shorts-style underwear. At the end of the song, she made a simple bow of her head, moved back towards the band and thanked the Soweto Gospel Choir.

A surprise guest spotted in the crowd was Prince William’s girlfriend Kate Middleton.

The first that the crowd saw of Winehouse was at about 8:30 p.m. when she joined the rest of the performers to listen to Mandela make a brief speech. The concert also raises awareness for his 46664 charity and campaign, named after Mandela’s prison number. “Our work is for freedom for all,” Mandela said.

Led by Will and Jada Smith, the crowd sang happy birthday to the statesman.

Winehouse is also expected to take part in a version of “Free Nelson Mandela,” alongside Jerry Dammers, the writer of the ’80s anthem, and rockers Queen.

Brody Jenner’s Pal on What It Takes to Find True ‘Bromance’

The new MTV reality show Bromance is going to go for the laughs — and true friendship, Brody Jenner’s pal (and co-producer), Frankie Delgado, tells people.

“We just started in production. We’re trying to make it funny,” Delgado said at Thursday’s Verizon Palm Centro Launch Party at L.A.’s Elevate Lounge.

“We are really invested in finding a guy friend for our entourage. We don’t trust a lot of people, because people might want to be our friends for who we are or who we’re around, what club we can get into, and things like that. So maybe this way we can find a true friend.”

While Deldago says their will be no hazing involved in asking their potential “bromantic” partners to prove their loyalty, he also realizes that anything is possible.

“There’s really no sense to what we’re actually going to do yet,” he says. As for what can be expected of the new entourage member, the only thing Delgado would reveal was that “Brody’s not gonna bring a douche bag around us.” – Vanessa Diaz
