PARIS BENNETT PREGNANT /RUSSELL’S CHILD SUPPORT / MANDELA GIVE NAOMI THE BOOT

Former American Idol contestant and 19 year old Paris Bennett is expecting a girl in October:

Paris Bennett is expecting a baby girl in October and will be 20 when mommyhood arrives.

“This makes five generations,” an overjoyed Jamecia Bennett, told me Thursday.

Jamecia, who like her daughter and mother is a singer, is absolutely over the moon about being a first-time grandmother.

“I’m proud of how she did it. I was 16 when I got pregnant,” said Jamecia.

Paris’ great-grandmother is Shirley T. Bennett, 75, of Rockford, Ill.; her grandmother Ann Nesby, a gospel and R&B powerhouse, who lives in Atlanta, was with the Sounds of Blackness.

Who’s the daddy? “He chooses not to be in the public eye,” said Jamecia. “I respect that.” What does he do for a living? “I can’t tell,” she said.

“She has a ring,” said Jamecia, who’s hopeful that she’ll be planning a wedding for Paris.

The planning for an August baby shower is already underway. A few celebrities may fly into town for the show, including Queen Latifah.

Latifah has made it clear that she plans to spoil this baby with gifts and that she won’t be stopped. You’re the princess but I’m the queen, Jamecia said Latifah told Paris.

National magazines have been calling looking for baby info, but Jamecia said she’s played it cool. “We tend to stay out of the media,” Jamecia said. “The only person we let know [personal] things is you.”

Um, then why did I have to hear about this pregnancy elsewhere?

Leona Lewis (in Roberto Cavalli) uses both hands to salute the crowd at Nelson Mandela’s 90th birthday tribute at London’s Hyde Park. The “Bleeding Love” singer offered a star-studded version of “Happy Birthday” to the former South African president. “It was an incredible energy from the stage,” Lewis told reporters backstage.

Ruben Studdard Says ‘I Do’

The Velvet Teddy Bear got hitched.

American Idol’s season 2 winner Ruben Studdard married Surata Zuri McCants at Canterbury United Methodist Church in his hometown of Birmingham, Ala., Saturday with 20 groomsmen at his side.

Studdard, 29, and McCants, 30, obtained a marriage license at the County Probate Office in Columbiana, Ala., last Monday. “They looked really happy,” an eyewitness said.

On Idol, Studdard was dubbed the “Velvet Teddy Bear” and was known for dressing down in jerseys emblazoned with 205, Birmingham’s area code.

But came time for his wedding, the vocalist got decked out. He and his groomsmen wore black Joseph Abboud tuxedos from local outfitter Mr. Burch Formal Wear, says a source.

The groomsmen’s shirts and vests were black, while Studdard had a white vest and a white bow tie.

Studdard met McCants in October 2006, when he was signing CDs at a Wal-Mart in Atlanta. Struck by her beauty, he followed her to the store’s toy department, and requested her phone number.

Later this year he’s due to release another CD.

Kevin Federline Parties Night Away in Miami

He may have partied till nearly dawn, but parenting was on the mind of Kevin Federline Friday night into Saturday morning – capping a week in which he and ex Britney Spears seem destined for a custody showdown.

“Kevin was in a great mood and even talked about a new song he is working on, called ‘Daddy’s Home,’ ” says a source at Mansion on South Beach – where K-Fed (as host) and his party of 10 and a security guard stayed until 4 a.m. Saturday, following a late dinner at Miami’s Michy’s, an intimate and upscale restaurant.

“He has put a lot of time and effort into writing and rehearsing it, but says it is not quite ready yet,” the source tells people.

At Mansion, Federline, dressed in an over-sized, blue, long-sleeved, oxford shirt and jeans, spent much of the night chatting with the club’s host Lyndon Smith, another single dad. “We talked about our kids and parenting and what that’s all about,” Smith says.

Although multiple bottles of champagne were sent to Federline, he preferred to drink water. Not that the bubbly went to waste – he sprayed an entire bottle on the dancing crowd.

Scrubs star Zach Braff and Donald Faison, with Cacee Cobb, Jessica Simpson’s former assistant, came late and hung with Federline while he danced with his group of friends, including one guy from his hometown.

Good Dance Moves
“Kevin is a great dancer with some very complicated moves,” says another source at Mansion. “He wasn’t with any one girl in particular. He was friendly and nice to everyone and in a wonderful mood.”

Federline, 30, had been seen in the late afternoon checking into the Gansevoort Hotel on South Beach, where he asked staffers to call him “Kevin” and even signed autographs.

“Kevin seemed happy and was very gracious,” says an eyewitness. “He stopped and took photos with anyone who asked.”

Diddy, chilling out with his ex, Kim Porter, at L.A.’s always-hopping Crown Bar. The music mogul brought an entourage, but all the attention was focused on Porter. Says an onlooker: “She was very much queen of the night.” Diddy shared his drink with Porter, and he would hold the glass while she would grip the straw to take sips. The pair seemed quite comfortable around each other – like “they have been friends for years and obviously care a lot about each other,” the onlooker says.

Madonna and Family Attend Sabbath Services

With no wedding ring on her finger and no husband in sight, Madonna and her three children – and Carlos Leon, 11-year-old daughter Lourdes’s biological dad – visited Manhattan’s Kabbalah Centre Friday night for Sabbath services and returned again on Saturday.

So where was Guy Ritchie, rumored to be splitting with Madonna? British tabloid reports had him in London, but headed to New York this weekend. Britain’s Sun has an unnamed source saying Ritchie seeks to keep the couple’s marriage going, although Madonna is focused on rehearsals for her upcoming world tour.

On Thursday, it was reported in the London Times Madonna had consulted noted divorce British attorney Fiona Shackleton, who had represented Paul McCartney and Prince Charles in their bitter divorces from, respectively, Heather Mills and Princess Diana.

On Friday night, Madonna’s group came in three waves, with Leon and Lourdes arriving first, quickly followed by an SUV carrying her son (with Ritchie) Rocco, 7, and adopted son David, 2, each child with a nanny.

Fifteen minutes later, around 8:45, Madonna arrived, wearing a black skirt and a black tank top over a white T-shirt. The service had just about ended, with a dinner about to begin. Madonna stayed some 20 minutes before leaving with Rocco and David for her home on Central Park West, according to a source.

Attended Bar Mitzvah
On Saturday, Madonna and her three children returned to the center for services. Her presence didn’t create any kind of stir, as congregants gave her hardly any notice.

With Lourdes at her side, Madonna sat in a front-row seat, wearing a black baseball cap and tight black T-shirt. David, in a white baseball cap and Rocco sporting a Yankees cap, spent much of the time playing quietly with some other children on the floor of the sanctuary.

A bar mitzvah took place, and at its conclusion Rocco joined all the congregants in throwing Sunkist fruit gem candies at the bar mitzvah boy.

At the service’s conclusion, Lourdes wrapped her arms around her mother’s neck and gave her a big, long hug.

In Manhattan to rehearse for her upcoming world Sticky & Sweet tour, which kicks off Aug. 23 in Wales, Madonna has stuck to a rigid schedule.

First, according to a source, she works out at home. Then, at 2:15 each afternoon, Madonna leaves for a studio in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, where she and members of the tour practice numbers.

Meanwhile, the children and several nannies, often also accompanied by Leon, spend time playing outside or in Central Park, the source says.
