The pair shared kisses and cuddles as they picked up bags of swag at fashion boutique Diavolina and kept close as they wandered the streets of West Hollywood.

Marilyn donned a brown doggy dress for her outing, accessorised perfectly with a baby pink bow in her hair, while Paris opted for a floor-length halter-style dress and enormous black sunglasses.

After a hard day of shopping til they dropped, the pair were relieved to sink into the luxurious seat of a waiting limousine … proof indeed that blondes DO have more fun.

The actress’ lawyer said she is seeking criminal charges against the photographer in question, who she has accused of trespassing on private property.

Or maybe he decided to go to earth in the inviting pile of soft clean towels.

For whatever reason, this fox cub managed to end up inside Alan and Carol Heard’s bathroom at six o’clock in the morning.

Mrs Heard was in bed when she heard scratching and went to investigate, thinking her cats were having one of their regular squabbles.

Instead, she found Basil Brush Junior perched on the window ledge staring at her.

‘Some towels had been strewn around the floor, but aside from that the fox did no damage and made no mess,’ said Mrs Heard, 64, from Ilford, Essex.

‘He was good-natured and appeared very nervous.’

Mrs Heard had the presence of mind to take a picture of the intruder, which probably got in through the cat flap, before calling for her husband.

Mr Heard, 72, scooped up the cub in his arms and took it out to the garden where it disappeared into the undergrowth.

Before it departed, however, it took a last backwards glance. ‘It was as if he was saying goodbye,’ said Mrs Heard.

The couple have often seen foxes in the neighbourhood but none quite as brazen as this nocturnal visitor.

Skinny Spice: Mel B reveals her dramatic weight loss

Former Spice Girl Mel B cut a lean figure in Hollywood yesterday as she arrived for an appearance on US chat show Jimmy Kimmel Live.

Despite coming off tour months ago, the singer looks to have kept up her fitness regime, her toned physique neatly wrapped in a daring black frock.

The 33-year-old sees a personal trainer for a 90-minute training sessions six days a week and also practises Capoeira – the Brazilian martial art – and yoga.

Aside from her punishing exercise schedule, Mel B is also working on a solo album, a clothing line and is considering taking a role in a Broadway version of Legally Blonde on Broadway.

And there’s another project in the works too – a baby with husband Stephen Belafonte.

She says: ‘We definitely want children. Not just yet – I think in a few years, definitely.’

Mel already has a nine-year-old daughter Phoenix with ex Jimmy Gulzar and a 15-month-old daughter Angel with actor Eddie Murphy.

Paris Hilton: I Feel Like a Grown-Up Now

Paris Hilton may have been surrounded by adults dressed as superheroes and Star Wars characters at San Deigo’s Comic-Con International, but the heiress-turned-actress says “I just feel like a grown-up now,” thanks to her current romance with musician Benji Madden and their more low-key lifestyle.

“I think my whole life I was kind of living as a teenager and not really taking responsibility,” Hilton, who visited the Con to support her new film – and well-received performance in – Repo! The Genetic Opera, told people. “Now I realize that I’m an adult and I’m running a huge company and I’m in love. I’m in a great relationship. I have my family. I’m just excited for life.”

When the notion of tying the knot with Madden (whose brother Joel is the paramour of Nicole Richie) was broached, Hilton was cautiously optimistic. “I don’t know,” she mused. “We’re so in love and so happy right now and it’s only been like six months. So we’ll see what happens, but we’re so in love and so happy and things have never been better. I finally have a nice guy.”

The couple is also making beautiful music together in the studio. “We just wrote together,” Hilton said. “I had a whole recording studio in my house and so we’ve been working there every night. We wrote together on two songs for my Best Friends show.”

“He helps me because he’s an incredible writer and we’re on the same wavelength and so we’re working well together as a team,” she said. “Benji will bring us beats and then we literally just sit there and write to the beats about what I want to talk about. The music is really fun. It’s really just happy and fun dance music.”

And Hilton and Madden are also occasionally pulling babysitter duty for his niece Harlow. “We just saw her like a week ago. She had her six-month birthday. I can’t believe it. She’s getting so big and is so cute. She’s laughing now and trying to call which is so sweet. I love babies!”
