The ‘Dirty Dancing’ star smiled as he appeared on set at the start of filming on began his new project, a television show, ‘The Beast’ in Chicago, in which he plays an FBI agent.
Swayze smiled in the sunshine and showed little evidence of the pancreatic cancer diagnosis which saw the actor initially given just weeks to live.

His illness was diagnosed in January. Since then the actor is thought to have undergone radical chemotherapy.
The 55-year-old recently branded himself ‘a miracle’, for surviving the past five months after doctors diagnosed him with the disease.

Amy Winehouse was discharged from hospital this morning after receiving emergency treatment for a adverse reaction to ‘medication’.
A spokeswoman for University College Hospital, where the singer spent the night, said she was ushered out via a private exit shortly after 9.45am.
She was said to be in good spirits after a ‘comfortable night’.
The spokeswoman said: ‘Our doctors decided to keep her overnight for observation. She had a comfortable night and will be discharged today.’

Her release comes less than 24 hours after she was stretchered out of her Camden home and rushed to A&E.
The singer was seen being wheeled out of her north London home just after 8.40pm by paramedics, her beleaguered father Mitch Winehouse watching on.
Paramedics had been called by Mitch after Winehouse reportedly collapse after suffering an episode of ‘fitting’.
Her father blamed the scare on a mistake with her prescription pills, saying: ‘She’s fine, she just mixed up her medication.’
Her spokesman Chris Goodman added in a statement: ‘Amy Winehouse suffered a reaction to medication at home this evening and was taken to hospital.’
A squad of police arrived as Amy was shielded her singer friend Remi Nicole and her father, as well as the paramedics who were in attendance, with only her bare feet exposed as she sat slumped in the wheelchair.
