Amy Winehouses ex-husband Blake breaks down
Amy Winehouse’s ex-husband Blake Fielder-Civil collapsed upon hearing about her death and said he was ‘beyond inconsolable’.
Blake, 29, who is currently in prison, broke down in tears after he was told that his ex-wife had died and declared that she was the love of his life.
Speaking to the Sun from prison, where he is currently serving a 32-month prison term for burglary and possession of an imitation firearm, he said: ‘I’m beyond inconsolable … my tears won’t dry.’
Blake, who is believed to have been put on suicide watch at Leeds’ Armley Jail, added: ‘I will never ever again feel the love I felt for her.
‘Everybody who knew me and knew Amy knew the depth of our love. I can’t believe she’s dead.
Blake was married to the Back To Black singer for two years from May 2007 to August 2009 and her Grammy-winning 2006 album Back To Black chronicled their troubled love affair.
They had a turbulent and sometimes violent relationship, both battling drink and drug addictions and it has been alleged that he was the one who introduced the Back to Black star to heroin and crack cocaine.
