Scores of well-wishers lay flowers outside Jade Goody’s home today in a public outpouring of grief for the reality star.
Jade’s devastated mother Jackiey Budden took comfort in the tributes to her daughter, who died following a public battle with cervical cancer in the early hours of Sunday morning.
‘Her response to all this would be the same as mine – overwhelmed,’ said Ms Budden.
‘It just shows how many people really did love her.’
The 27-year-old’s funeral will take place at a church near her home early next month, a family spokesman said tonight.

She will be buried following a service at a church in Buckhurst Hill, Essex, on April 4, the spokesman said.
The service will be the ‘Jade Goody Production’ the reality star meticulously planned before her death.
She spent the last few weeks of her life telling family members exactly what she wanted at the sad event.
The tragic Big Brother star’s publicist Max Clifford said: ‘Jade wanted a celebration of her life. It will be very much a Jade Goody production with Jade doing her own thing her own way.’
However, her widower Jack Tweed could miss out on saying a final goodbye to his wife of four weeks as he faces up to the prospect of a jail sentence.
