Whether Rihanna is moving on remains to be seen. But she is moving on up.

The songbird, who has kept a relatively low profile since her alleged assault at the hands of boyfriend Chris Brown last month, reemerged in Los Angeles yesterday, where she began a house hunting tour of the Hollywood Hills with several friends.

Among the homes the “Disturbia” singer and her pals viewed was a $6.25 million property once owned by Jerry Seinfeld. The 5,913-square-foot home boasts three bedrooms, five bathrooms, a pool and hot tub and, seemingly most important, hilltop views of the city. Read the rest of this entry »

Dehydration Dampens SYTYCD Rehearsal: Two Finalists Hospitalized

The show will go on, but under what circumstances?

E! News has confirmed that two of the four finalists who are preparing to get down as they’ve never gotten down before on this week’s So You Think You Can Dance finale were hospitalized over the weekend after collapsing during rehearsal.

It was reportedly the two remaining guys—Joshua Allen and Stephen “Twitch” Boss—who required medical care Saturday, according to Us Weekly. They were treated for dehydration and released the same day and are expected to be more than ready to partner up with and face off against Courtney Galiano and Katee Shean on Wednesday.

Fox has yet to issue a statement, but the beans were spilled when judge Mary Murphy told People last night at the 2008 Teen Choice Awards that two of the contestants were rushed to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center by ambulance on Saturday.

“The kids are completely dehydrated—two of them. I’m sure they’re doing a lot of blood work to see if there’s anything else,” the reliably talkative ballroom expert said.

Sunday rehearsals were called off, but everyone was expected to be back in leaping form by today. Courtney, Katee, Joshua and Twitch had been busting their fierce moves for at least 10 hours a day, a regimen that tires us out just writing about it.

“[The girls] could not rehearse as well, and so hopefully everybody is going to be in the same boat,” Murphy said. “Hopefully everybody will be refreshed by having a full day off.”

The fourth season of So You Think You Can Dance concludes this week with a live two-part, four-hour finale. After a lineup of special guests, previously dismissed contestants (surely Will Wingfield will have yet another moment in the spotlight) and a performance by the Jonas Brothers, a winner will be announced Thursday. source E News

Mom-to-Be Marissa Winokur Rushing to Be Ready

Marissa Jaret Winokur has six more weeks until the July 22 due date of her baby – and she’s not ready.

“I’m the most ill-prepared parent on the planet,” the Tony-winning Hairspray star told people at her baby shower Monday at Manhattan’s Hudson Hotel. “We were doing construction at our house and I went off and did Dancing with the Stars. Four months later, nothing’s gotten done and I’m totally in a panic.”

Winokur, a survivor of cervical cancer, is using a surrogate for the delivery. (Because Winokur’s treatment included a radical hysterectomy, she is not able to become pregnant or carry a baby.)

The impending arrival, a little boy, will be named Zev. “It means wolf in Hebrew,” says Winokur. “My husband wanted it to be Wolfie, and I just thought that’s such a hard name for a little, little boy.”

As for preparing to be a mom, “I honestly didn’t think I was going to be on Dancing with the Stars as long as I was,” she says. “I figured I’d get voted off the second week and then I’d get ready for the baby. I literally stopped working two weeks ago and now I’ve only got six weeks. It will fly by.”

Dad Does It His Own Way
In the meantime, Winokur’s been relying on her husband, TV writer Judah Miller, to pick up the slack – with some unexpected results.

“I sent him to Home Depot to get a carpet to put in the baby’s room, and he tells me, ‘I bought nine tiki torches for the pool.’ And I said, ‘Oh good so we can have a barbecue. What did you get for the baby?’ ”

As for indoors, “I told my husband I wanted shabby-chic furniture for the nursery. He told me he found this really great furniture while I was dancing, so he got to buy everything. He bought this gorgeous, but mid-century modern furniture from a company called Netto. It’s minimalistic and as un-shabby-chic as possible.”

She added, “My husband’s a purist when it comes to our house, so he’s in a lot of trouble.”

Nelson Mandela Getting Winehoused Celebrity News

Nelson Mandela just scored a coup of a birthday guest…that is, if she shows up.

Amy Winehouse has officially been added to the lineup of artists set to perform at a special London concert marking the former South African president’s 90th birthday.

In addition to the “Back to Black” singer, Leona Lewis, Queen, Razorlight, Annie Lennox and Shirley Bassey are set to perform at the three-hour June 27 event in Hyde Park, which Mandela himself is set to attend. Proceeds will go toward his 46664 charity, a global campaign to raise awareness of HIV and AIDS.

“We are delighted Amy will be appearing at Hyde Park,” Tim Massey, the international director of the charity named after Mandela’s prison number, said.

The gig—which, fitting with the theme of the night, will have an audience that’s 46,664-strong—will mark Winehouse’s first full set onstage since last November, right before she called off her tour.

Jessica Simpson: Cowgirl…By Way of L.A. Celebrity News

We didn’t realize they had written a How to Be a Country Star for Dummies guidebook, but Jessica Simpson apparently found a copy.

In an obvious attempt to prove that she’s the real McCoy when it comes to her foray into country music, the “Come On Over” songstress made dang sure to be seen sporting a cowboy hat upon arriving at LAX airport in Los Angeles Thursday.

However, she must not have read the part that says it’s probably not such a good idea to be accompanied by your personal hairstylist—and unrepentant city slicker—Ken Paves.

Country music, after all, is about relating to the common man, Jess.

So next time, leave such luxuries behind and do what we all do: Just tie your matted hair up with a scrunchie or simply hide it underneath a baseball cap.

Kate and Lily help Gwen’s lad mark his second birthday Celebrity News

There was a celebrity gathering on Malibu beach over Memorial Day weekend in the US as British actress Kate Beckinsale and her daughter Lily helped Gwen Stefani celebrate her son Kingston’s second birthday.

Undeterred – and apparently unhampered by her towering heels – Kate races her daughter across the sands at a Memorial Day party for Gwen Stefani’s son Kingston on Malibu beach

Mum and daughter, who were joined by Kate’s director husband Len Wiseman, looked like they were having a whale of a time at the beach birthday bash. And at one point the London-born star, who seems to have taken a leaf out of new pal Victoria Beckham’s style book, ended up racing her nine-year-old daughter over the sands in a pair of towering wedge sandals.
