I’m A Celebrity: Katie Price dumps Alex Reid live on air

It’s perhaps not the most tactful way to end a relationship, but Katie Price ensured maximum exposure when she dumped boyfriend Alex Reid live on air last night.

The cagefighter had just landed in Australia after flying thousands of miles to see his girlfriend of four months, who was competing on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!

He planned to propose. Instead Katie summoned him to her hotel room and told him she was fed up with him ‘making money from her’ and then went on live TV to tell the nation.

The former glamour model left the I’m A Celebrity jungle two weeks early on Sunday after the public kept forcing her to endure ‘bushtucker trials’.

But despite this, the 31-year-old will forfeit just £100,000 from her £350,000 appearance fee, and is expected to make as much as £1million in magazine, advertising and television deals.

Last night presenters Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly spoke to her live on air for the first time since her departure. Read the rest of this entry »

Celebrities Exposed, Katie Price and Kim Woodburn in I’m A Celebrity fight

Katie Price is at the centre of an I'm A Celebrity fight

The celebrities must be wondering if they will ever get a chance to prove their strength and courage against the critters of the jungle after Katie Price was given her third bushtucker trial.

Big Boobs Competition, Kim Woodburn VS Katie Price

Big Boobs Katie Price

The glamour model entered the Australian jungle in an animal print swimsuit and wasted no time putting her surgically enhanced assets on show in a water-based challenge.

But the 31-year-old faces some stiff competition in the form of busty Kim Woodburn, 67, who has already drawn attention to her naturally large chest on several occasions. Read the rest of this entry »

Katie Price shows Peter Andre what he’s missing as she shoots raunchy calendar in Ibiza

Shooting for her new calendar today, the glamour model made a very public attempt to show estranged husband Peter – and a beach full of tourists – exactly what he was missing.

Onlookers gawped and snapped their cameras as she struck sexy pose after sexy pose on the beach in Ibiza.

In a zebra print bikini and heart-shaped red sunglasses, she knelt down at the water’s edge and preened for the cameras, seemingly oblivious to the scores of holiday makers behind her. Read the rest of this entry »

Katie Price and Peter Andre’s split all a publicity stunt?

About two weeks ago, Katie Price started to talk about making a ‘massive comeback’.

She felt anxious, she confided, because she thought that she was simply not earning enough. Indeed, she had dyed her hair a plain brown because she said she was ‘fed up’ with paying to have her highlights attended to.

Gary Cockerill, her great friend and regular make-up artist, was told that she was reducing his hours because she was feeling the pinch.

Even her mother Amy could not cheer her up – Katie was in a miserable humour. But having been in America for months, paying rent on a house in Malibu but not earning any money, she felt broke and forgotten, and fretted that she had been eclipsed by Jade Goody.

And there is nothing which annoys Katie (who has built up a £30million fortune) more than the threat of obscurity.

A source who spent time with her during this period recalls that she was grumbling about the ‘thunder thighs’ she had built up training for the London Marathon, and was even more bad tempered than usual with her husband Peter Andre.

Katie told the source that she was going to reinvent herself in some spectacular way – which she did not specify – and confided that she was going on one of her juice-only detox diets to try to shed a stone to be ready for the blaze of publicity she was about to attract.

These are the sort of meanderings to which the 30-year-old former glamour model is prone, and nobody took much notice, as she often talks about wanting to be the nation’s biggest star again. Read the rest of this entry »

Katie Price uses legal loophole to escape speeding charge

Case dismissed: Katie Price, pictured with her husband Peter Andre outside the High Court in London last July, will not face trial for an alleged speeding offence

Katie Price became the latest celebrity to escape a possible driving ban yesterday through a legal technicality.

The glamour model also known as Jordan was accused of breaking a 30mph limit in Brighton last year.

But when Sussex Police repeatedly wrote to her to ask who was driving the car they claim they received no reply.

That led to a charge of not providing the identity of the driver and to the case being listed for trial before magistrates yesterday.

And that gave her defence barrister the chance to argue, on a technicality, that the testimony of the prosecution’s only witness should be disallowed.

The argument was accepted by the Brighton court and the prosecution could offer no evidence.

Miss Price, from Woldingham, Surrey, who was not in court, was then formally acquitted of both charges of speeding and not providing the identity of the driver. Source

Katie Price reveals: ‘I don’t write my best-selling novels’

It’s a remarkable career move by anyone’s standards: from lad’s mag’s favourite to best-selling author.

And Katie Price’s foray into literature has been so successful that she has even beaten off competition from leading writers.

But just when it seemed that there was no end to the model’s extraordinary talents, she has admitted enlisting more than a little help.

‘Of course I didn’t write it’: Katie Price, pictured at the book launch of her third novel Angel Uncovered last week, made a frank admission about her writing skills

Far from writing her own novels, Miss Price – better known as Jordan – instead reveals she merely thinks up the plot – leaving the complex task of conjuring up the golden prose to an assistant.

“I’m not going to lie, I don’t sit there with a typewriter and write it, of course I don’t,” she said.

“I don’t have time to do that. I say how I want the storyline to be, each chapter is done, I read through it change it and then it goes away to be written.

“So I’m not going to sit here and say I write it word by word because I’d be lying. I actually say how I want the story and that’s how it happens.”

So far Miss Price, 30, has written three novels. Her first book, Angel, sold 300,000 copies in the first six weeks when it was released two years ago.

Her second ghost-written novel, Crystal, sold 160,000 copies in the first three months and stormed straight to the top of the hardback best-sellers list.

It even sold better than Andrew Marr’s History of Britain.

Her latest novel Angel Uncovered has been billed by her publishing company as ‘an explosive and highly charged tale of love, lies and celebrities’.

The synopsis bears a striking similarity to her own life. It revolves around fictional WAG Angel Summer who is ‘married to the love of her life, sexy footballer Cal, they have a beautiful baby girl and Angel is Britain’s top glamour model’.

“I’m in this celebrity life with the magazines so I wanted to bring out a book which, you know, sort of is like what you read,” she added in the interview with Virgin Radio.

“It’s all about now, what you read with the WAGs, the arguments, what happened behind the scenes. Not that I know but things that I hear.

“I’m not saying it’s a true story but you can read it and people go ‘actually Kate’s done similar or has she done that’.

“I’ve made the book like where people question ‘do you reckon that’s really happened or hasn’t it?’ I’ve been quite clever.

“Honestly I just enjoy doing them and the others have been successful and I just know it’s a good read.”
