She is only in London for a few days.

article-1220910But Whitney Houston clearly feels she is going to need a few different dress options during her stay, during which she will sing on the X Factor on Saturday night.

Miss Houston, 46, flew from Atlanta, Georgia, to Heathrow yesterday morning.

And while she was whisked away in a limousine to her top London hotel, her aides watched over the safe arrival of a mountain of suitcases containing the remainder of her belongings.

Miss Houston’s essentials had gone with her in the first car. While an airport porter can be seen here struggling under the weight of a trolley carrying 10 further suitcases just for Whitney herself.

Whitney Houston Back to her best as she makes triumphant comeback at pre-Grammy party

Whitney Houston made a triumphant comeback at a pre-Grammy party last night after finally conquering her demons.

The singer has spent most of this decade out of the public eye after she admitted abusing alcohol and drugs during her former marriage to R&B star Bobby Brown.

Taking to the stage in a figure-hugging leopard-print gown, the 45-year-old looked back to her best as she belted out some of her biggest hits to the star-studded audience.

Houston was just one of a host of stars, including Rod Stewart, Kelly Clarkson and Jennifer Hudson, who performed at the 2009 Grammy Salute to Industry Icons in honour of record industry boss Clive Davis.

As well as honouring Davis, it gave musicians the chance to warm up for the biggest night of the year in the music calender, the 51st Grammy Awards tonight.

But it was easily Houston and Hudson – who has only returned to perform last week after the tragic murder of her mother, brother and nephew last year – who won the biggest applauses of the night.

Striding confidently on the stage, Houston sang ‘I got it, I got it’ before singing her 1993 hit I’m Every Woman and I Will Always Love You.

Whitney Houston’s Singing Is Fly

Who needs movies on a plane when Whitney Houston’s sitting nearby?

The “I Will Always Love You” songstress was on a New York to L.A. flight earlier this week with daughter Bobbi Kristina when they gave an impromptu concert to at least one passenger within earshot.

“Whitney and Bobbi Christina are singing the new Ne-Yo song,” the passenger emailed from the plane (they hadn’t taken off yet). “I am dieing!”

And I’m happy to report Houston was looking healthy and well rested. She also enjoyed some Ben & Jerry’s ice cream. “She looks fab,” my source wrote. “She’s in a white top, black pants and dark shades—and a great bob wig!”

Whitney is currently in the studio working on her much-anticipated comeback album. Sounds like she’s off to a good start.

Leona at the centre of a £50 million bidding war by US music chiefs|Celebrity News

After reaching the number one spot with her single “Bleeding Love,” the 22-year-old has become hot property in the States and has been invited to appear in front of around 25 million viewers on American Idol.

Leona Lewis’ star is shining bright in America. Not only has the pop sensation stormed to the top of the US charts, major record bosses are fighting to sign her following the success of hit single “Bleeding Love.”

Music industry experts are reporting that a recording, concert and merchandising package could put the young former waitress from Hackney on par with music legend Madonna.

The estimated deal is said to be worth £50 million over a five-year period.

Leona’s US record boss, Clive Davis, famous for making stars of Whitney Houston and Kelly Clarkson, is believed to be “thrilled” to be able to tear up the £4.5 million, five-album deal Leona signed last year.

An invitation to appear on “American Idol,” watched by around 25 million people each week, signals the extent that the pretty 22-year-old has taken the States by storm.

Currently in New York, Leona is eagerly waiting for boyfriend Lou Al-Chama and her family to jet across the pond and join her for a champagne bash this week. Her mentor Simon Cowell is also expected to take part in the celebrations, says the Sunday Express.

“Everything’s happening so fast, Leona’s in a whirl right now. What she’s really, really looking forward to, more than anything else, is her big reunion with Lou,” a friend of the X-Factor star told the newspaper.
